Ecological Risk Assessment for the Golden Gate Bridge
Project Management of an ecological risk assessment conducted for the Phase II RI/FS for the Golden Gate Bridge. A scoping-level ERA was completed for the project and included biological surveys, identification of ecological species of concern, and an evaluation of complete exposure pathways. Following completion of the scoping-level ERA, a work plan for completion of a combined predictive ecological risk assessment and a validation was developed.
Ecological Risk Assessment for Former Naval Air Station Alameda, Alameda Point
Project manager of an Ecological Risk Assessment for two tidal wetland habitats and a former landfill area. Project tasks included an avian survey, hydrologic investigation, development of a problem formulation, preparation of a screening-level ecological risk assessment, implementation of a field effort to collect biological samples for chemical residue tissue analyses, development of dose calculations for representative ecological species of concern, and development of the predictive ecological risk assessment.
Ecological Assessment at Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, Oakland (FISCO), Alameda Annex
Project Manager of a nearshore/offshore ecological assessment at the FISCO Alameda Facility/Alameda Annex located along the Oakland Inner Harbor. The assessment included an integrated evaluation of sediment and pore water chemistry and bioassay results for samples collected adjacent to the stormwater outfall that discharges to the Oakland Inner Harbor. The results of the ecological assessment were presented to the Restoration Advisory Board of the FISCO Alameda Facility/Alameda Annex.
